Eventful January

The first month of the year has ended pretty fast. I checked my planner and yes, January had been an eventful month for me.

- my family spent a week of vacation in Cavite during the first week of January.

- husband's grandmother passed away.

- my dear mother-in-law had a 2-week vacation with us

- attended Sportsfest in Marist for the 2nd time, my son participated in tug of war and a day after that...

- finally I was convinced by my OB-gyne to undergo excision biopsy

- on the 14th day I underwent excision biopsy at Medical City

- my husband's contract to work abroad has been approved (that means BIG changes, adjustments and another adventure for all of us...time to embrace it...this is what we've been waiting for after all )

-accomplished and submitted all the required docs

extras:

- bought a new pair of ballet flats for only Php 300, original price was Php 899, so its definitely a steal!

- had my follow up check-up with my surgeon

- availed the Php 250 diamond peel promo from Bioessence while waiting for my boys to get their haircuts done at GQ ( next visit will be on Feb. 10)

- check-up with my OB-gyne

- inventory at Go Shop

- bought a new vacuum cleaner

- had our first Sunday mass at St. Therese Church and will be there again tomorrow

My February has just started and I have a bunch of list already in my planner, so until my next end-of-the-month post! Happy weekend everyone!!! ^_^

I gained a few pounds during the past holidays and after my operation. I was not able to workout and only got the chance to exercise yesterday. I had a 2-hour walk at the mall and ended up buying these two... :)

I like that they're very comfy, by the way there's an ongoing sale at Payless but this wedgie shoes that I bought is not on sale. I rarely buy footwear with heels but this pair gives comfort to my feet, I love it! The other one is Ipanema wave thong premium in silver, I really like its seahorse decoration that sits upon the glossy strap and the waves reminds me of the sea and summer vacation! ^_^

I didn't expect that I would win from Fotosnaps' raffle promo in Facebook, anyhow I'm really happy to receive my first photo book project. Here it is...

I was surprised when I saw it because it's big! I thought it would be just like a size of a notebook. It's printed on an 8x11 landscape with hard cover and it looks really nice. Thanks so much Fotosnaps for this free photo book. I really like the result, the photos were printed clearly, it's the most important thing next to the cute and colorful templates :)

I highly recommend Fotosnaps, I know there's this other known photo book site that offers big savings & discounts. I got tempted once with the discount, free shipping and all, but only got disappointed with the result of my first project with them.

Smile! There you go...so, I haven't been able to update my blog for the past two weeks. I was too busy and I can't find the time to do it but now! I have so many things to share, it's all in my head but I don't know where to start ^_^. For now I'll just share this photo of my twin with you ^_^. His name is Happy aka Smiley, hope his photograph would inspire you to always think of happy thoughts! Keep smiling everyone...here's my take on happiness and positivity! ^_^

This year, instead of remembering and writing down my memories of 2011, I'll just simply thank the Lord for everything that I gained and lost. I don't need to say or list down every little thing. I can't say that I am a stronger, wiser or a better person but I know that I have emerged as a well-rounded individual, a more compassionate person, more understanding and loving. I'll leave 2011 and welcome 2012 with a big smile on my face. I won't look back in the past, I won't worry about the future but I'll definitely live the present and make it beautiful! ^_^

Celebrating 8th Years of Life Together

I haven't been updating my blog lately and even if I did, most posts you would see here are all about giveaways and contests. I must admit it doesn't look much of a personal blog anymore. I think I should create a separate blog for contest and giveaways already, what do you think? ^_^

Anyway, it's not that I gotten tired of sharing about my life here. In fact, I'm sharing with you now that husband and I will be celebrating our 8th year anniversary this week. Yes, imagine 8 long years of pain and agony hahaha! just kidding! I love you honey bunny!!! ^_^ (chup!chup!mwah!mwah!)

Every year, we always celebrate our wedding anniversary twice.That's because ~~we got married twice.~~ we got married in October of 2003, but the marriage certificate was registered late (November 2003). I know it's my fault (it took me a month to sign the marriage contract) hahaha! On a serious note, the reason behind that was a "typographical error". Instead of correcting the date, husband and I decided to let it be and just celebrate the occasion twice so we won't forget the official date.

So, now I'm thinking of something special to give him ~~like another baby!~~ (no it can wait for another year!) and if we're rich we would definitely go for a basketball team! hahaha!

Majolica Majorca Majoromantica perfume is a Japanese brand under Shiseido.

I got this limited editon for the summer called Majoromantica F (Fruity Forest) from All the Vanity. I won in her blog contest and this is my sweet prize! The first version of this, was exclusively released in their Winter Collection (the red one).

Majoromantica F comes in an ornate pink glass bottle with plastic wand applicator and gold Majolica Majorca emblem on the topper (cute!).

I love its sweet and romantic fragrance, which reminds me of Jessica Simpson's Fantasy perfume but not that strong. Good to know that its light-scented so it won't make me dizzy! Its also nice that its not a spray type (no more nose itch for my sensitive nose :p), I can just dab it on my inner wrists or with small wipes (tip: don't rub your wrists together when applying perfume because you'll crush the molecules, that's according to the experts!).

Laura Mercier Flawless Face Workshop

Not all women are the same, not all have flawless faces. I am one of those who have had pimples in my late 20's up to early 30's, acne blemishes and uneven skintone, name it I've had it. Yes, I am not perfect, I have flaws, but I love this face not only because I was born with this face. Everyday, this face receives lots of kisses from her boys. Step 1: prime the skin - Foundation primer is a colorless gel that provides a barrier between the skin and foundation to ensure freshness and long-lasting color.

After the workshop, I finally realized the importance of makeup primer and why I should use one before applying foundation. ^_^

Step 2: apply foundation - Laura feels women should look as natural as possible so she created her foundations to be used only where needed or in layers to provide buildable coverage.

Jeffrey taught us a little trick how to choose and blend the right color of foundation. Instead of using the compact mirror as plain old mirror, he said use it to blend the colors and then after blending or picking the color you think is the right one for you look in the mirror and check out if the color matches your skintone, no need to apply it directly on your skin, great!

Step 3: conceal - An exclusive to Laura Mercier, Secret Camouflage is formulated with a high level of pigment so your skin will achieve complete coverage with little product use. It is to be used under the eyes only.

Step 4: set with powder - Laura recommends that everyone set their makeup with translucent loose setting powder because it has no color pigment and will not distort the color of your makeup.

Ballet Philippines' Inamorata

Last month, my husband and I won six tickets from Ballet Philippines' facebook promo. So, for the second time around we were able to watch a ballet show for free (1st was the Tales of the Manuvu) at the CCP main theater (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo), Pasay City, together with our 7-year-old son (it was his first time to watch ballet ^_^). And because we got six tickets my dear brother and his girlfriend tagged along.

In celebration of the centennial of International Women's Day (100 years!) Ballet Philippines presented Inamorata, the heart of its 42nd season: Faces of Eve which showcased the many faces of woman.

Ballet Philippines performed the three classical pieces : The Dying Swan the immortal classic about a magnificent woman in her last breath, the comedic love pas de deux from Harlequinade, Flames of Paris a sampling of woman's strength, set in the French revolution, plus the new works of the top choreographers in the country: Nanay which is about the impact of a woman leaving behind her child to work abroad, Battle of the Sexes which shows how a woman is putting up a good fight against the male dominated society. I really, really like the latter of all the performances.

When the first piece was presented, my son said the female ballerina was dancing like Michael Jackson (moonwalk!) ^_^. I was actually a little worried that he would get bored and yes on the middle part of the presentation he was already yawning! On the last part of the presentation...yikes! he had fallen asleep. Nevertheless, I was happy that he appreciate the first performance.

Last September 24, I was invited to the re-launch party of Orange Magazine TV, held at Gweilos Bar & Restaurant, SMOA.

Onto to the event, the first blogger that I met was the person behind Orange Magazine TV Mr. Jeman Villanueva.

He greeted me with a big smile! His warm welcome helped me not to retreat into my shell. ^_^ I am little shy you know! I got thick-faced when I met some friendly fellow bloggers and I felt at ease as the party went along.

October Love

What a gloomy first day of October. Sadness, that's what I felt earlier when I saw the news on tv, there's another typhoon! Yes, after typhoon Pedring comes another typhoon - Quiel. Let's hope and pray for everyone's safety and our country 'Philippines'.

Anyway, despite the typhoon there's still a lot of things to be happy about this the month of October. Yes, the first day of October greeted me with a congratulatory message from All The Vanity. Surprise! surpirse! I won a Majolica Majorca perfume plus Asian secrets body scrub (yhey!). Aside from that, husband and I will be celebrating our 8th year anniversary also this month. I told my husband wow! eight long years of pain and agony *just kidding* I'm blessed to have him in my life. ^_^

October gave me the happiest and saddest moments in my life. I will never forget October 16 - mom's death anniversary. Time flies really fast, family and relatives will get together again to commemorate her first death anniversary. I will never forget that painful night yet I will always remember my mom's unconditional love.

Jam-Packed Week

The days passed quickly and it's been a week since my last post. Well, there's the typhoon Pedring joined with Globe's unreliable internet connection, which almost drained my positive energy the whole week. I'll make a separate post about it promise!

My week had been filled with happy energy moments! (oh! parang enervon lang hehehe) events and unexpected surprises! I've been busy with my sidelines (raket to the max!) to earn money so I could buy what I want and what I need for myself and family ( i have a long list - Santa can you hear me??? ^_^). You know, Christmas is just around the corner, so I need to work...work.

King Bee is my son's favorite restaurant. Whenever we would dine out and visit this chinese restaurant, my son gets a little hyperactive or should I say excited. So last week, husband and I decided to treat him there and as soon as he overheard the magic words he started cheering "King Bee! King Bee!"

Make Me Forget About You

I can't help but sigh whenever the Max Factor Mineral Foundation that I bought yesterday crosses my mind. I thought the 'Sand shade' matches my skintone really well but as soon as I got back home and saw my face in the mirror the truth was revealed..curse the lights at the mall waaah!!! It didn't match my skintone at all! It looks like I had a fake tan on my face. (sob!) I don't want my money to simply just go to waste so what I did, I mixed it with my other mineral foundation so I could still use it. Another sigh! I should have chosen the Revlon Photoready foundation that I first tried or just stick to my current Revlon Colorstay (Buff) instead. Lesson learned, next time I'll be very careful on trying other foundation shades.

At his young age he already knew his priorities. Recently, he received an honor recognition (third honors) from the school director and principal for having an average of 90.46. I'm glad that he keeps his grades up despite the fact that I let him review all by himself, I want him to have that sense of independence.

He loves to read, first thing in the morning when he wakes up, he would finish his breakfast and right after that sit on the couch and read ( yeah! I must confess he didn't get that love-to-read thing from me). I read yet I'm not a book worm , however I love the fact that it helps me to fall fast asleep. ^_^

My mom's favorite brand of lotion is Jergens that's why my sister and I grew up using the same brand. Back then mom would buy us a big bottle of it instead of giving us separate ones, for us to share. One way of teaching us not to be selfish.

A month ago I purchased two big bottles of Jergens Anti-bacterial lotion both 500ml. I put one in the bathroom and the other in our bedroom so every time I need to use it I don't need to go up and down the stairs. Unfortunately, both pumps don't work, so I end up holding it upside down, pounding and shaking out the contents everytime I use them and until I used them all up (messy!).

And so I purchased another 500ml bottle a week ago at the same grocery store where I purchased the two. Guess what? another defective pump!!! That's the time when I decided to call the customer service, but nobody answered my phone calls so I ended up sending an email. After 24hrs I received a reply from Vibelle Mfg. Corp. and the next day a representative dropped by my home.

I showed to him the defective pump and also told him where I purchased it and the other two. The representative told me that they will look into the problem ASAP. I told him to check their products at the grocery store as well. After the small talk, I was surprised when he gave me these

The Birth of The Blessed Virgin Mary

Look at this beautiful bouquet of flowers that greeted me in front of my door this morning.

Unfortunately, it's not mine. ^_^ My son said it's for Mama Mary. ^_^

Today (September 8) is the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. My son brought this bouquet of white flowers to school for special offering.

His dad ordered this last night from our friendly neighbor's flower shop and was delivered early in the morning today, so it's still fresh-looking.

The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated at least by the sixth century, when St. Romanos the Melodist, an Eastern Christian who composed many of the hymns used in the Eastern Catholic and Eastern Orthodox liturgies, composed a hymn for the feast. The feast spread to Rome in the seventh century, but it was a couple more centuries before it was celebrated throughout the West.

The source for the story of the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the Protoevangelium of James, an apocryphal gospel written about A.D. 150. From it, we learn the names of Mary's parents, Joachim and Anna, as well as the tradition that the couple was childless until an angel appeared to Anna and told her that she would conceive. (Many of the same details appear also in the later apocryphal Gospel of the Nativity of Mary.)

The traditional date of the feast, September 8, falls exactly nine months after the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Perhaps because of its close proximity to the feast of the Assumption of Mary, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not celebrated today with the same solemnity as the Immaculate Conception. Studio SnR-Majolica Majorca Workshop-CBTL Single Serve Beverage System-Barista Workshop

As I promised I'm going to share to you my experience at the recent Studio SnR and Majolica Majorca workshop held last September 3 at Millenium Place, Ortigas.

Did I mention in my part one post that I was jumping with joy and excitement when I found out that I had been given a free slot for the said workshop?

Anyway, because I was so excited, I woke up early that day (saturday) and was ready as early as 8:00 am going to the event place. I didn't want to be late as I was informed by Sydney that all participants should be there at exactly 9:00am sharp.

My husband accompanied me to the event place. I waved goodbye to him before stepping inside the elevator. And so onto the event. Hurray! I was the first one to arrive among the 20 participants. Time check - 8:45am ehem! hahaha!

At the reception area I was told to fill-up the form and then after that she (the receptionist) gave me my first loot bag. Inside my loot bag are hygiene tools, makeup tools, pearl bracelet, Parian Spirit makeup brush cleaner, Php 2,000 CBTL discount coupon, The Best Deals on SALE stub and a Blush magazine with Anne Curtis on the cover. ^_^

Tadah! I finally met Sydney of Studio SnR, and after some chikahan moments with her I met the two other early birds.

What is Majolica Majorca? According to Aimee it is the sister and cheaper counter part of Shiseido. She told us the story behind the logo of MM. She said the bird represents a woman who was given the power to make the other women beautiful and her mission is to spread beauty all over the world.

What have I learned from this workshop? The basic makeup application was fun. I did learn how to use my eyeshadow palette....finally! Now, I want to purchase lots of it. ^_^ I learned the secret of mixing and blending of foundation that will match my skintone. That's good news because it means I can still use the foundation that I bought (didn't match my skintone- blend, blend, blend that's the secret).

Ria, my makeup and shopping buddy encouraged me to enroll in HD Studio. And I thought of giving it a try. Yeah! I told my husband about it and he said YES!!!

Independence and Parenting Style

Now that my son is in grade two, I let him review and do his assignment on his own. During the first quarter examination I didn't provide any reviewer as I used to when he was in grade one. I want him to be independent, but of course I still want him to have good grades. On thursday, I'll get his report card.

As a parent, I expect him to have high grades but then again I cannot just change what I have imposed if ever the result would not be the way I wanted. Learning is a continuous process anyway. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.♥

Studio SnR and Majolica Majorca Makeup Workshop Part I

I was dancing in happiness and excitement when Sydney of Studio SnR informed me that I have been chosen as the lucky AMW winner who will receive a FREE slot at the Majolica Majorca workshop.

I checked my schedule first before joining and then finally I submitted my entry in AMW's comment box, that is just in case I win I will know if I can make it or not on the specified date.

Here's what I said:

When I was a child I dream of becoming a flight attendant or a bank teller all because I wanted to wear make-up everyday. Back then, I thought that my mom will only allow me to use make-up when I landed these jobs. =)

Right now, to become a professional make-up artist is what I want. This workshop will be my first step to reaching that goal.

I need to learn and be equipped with the right makeup tools and techniques.

Food delivery is one of the things that makes this mom's life easier. When I don't feel like cooking I always rely on food delivery. In our family a week won't pass without ordering our favorites - pizza, burger, spaghetti, lasagna, chicken and etc. It's easy, fast and convenient. I don't need to go through long lines and wait. All I have to do is pick up the phone and call the establishment's delivery hotline or order online through their websites.

Just like last friday, my son needed to bring Filipino food in their school, that is in celebration of Buwan ng Wika. And because I don't have much time to prepare I decided to order thru Jollibee Delivery hotline. I ordered the set meal for five persons. Easy peasy! simple and hassle-free.

When my son came back from school. He brought home two burgers. He said it's for me and daddy. ^_^

If I could travel the world I'll be the happiest. It's no secret that I love going to places I've never been to together with my family. I find rest and relaxation going on a trip. My Food Adventure: Gumbo

Gumbo 'A Taste of New Orleans' is my favorite restaurant at the moment. DH and I choose to have our dinner here last Saturday night after the Clinique party in Rustan's Makati.

I had Seafood Gumbo, it's New Orleans' favorite dish and my current favorite too. The fresh calamari, Pacific clams, crawfish, shrimps, and andouille sausage and mussels were cooked with Cajun and vegetables seasoning. I love the mild, spicy taste. While sipping the sauce I tried to guess some of the spices used in the dish and I got two correct answers - cayenne pepper and tabasco. (hurray!) ^_^

My dear husband had Chicken Jambalaya. It's grilled chicken and andouille sausage cooked with Cajun spiced long grain rice. Chicken and rice is really a satisfying combination but I don't have much to say about the dish. I didn't like it, as the chicken was slightly overcooked. There's really nothing special about it.

For dessert we had two slices of Mississippi Mud pie. I just grabbed this photo from the Gumbo website. I didn't brought my digicam that day and I don't think my cp camera would even give me good quality photos, so why bother plus I can't be distracted when I'm eating. >laughs<

This dessert was okay, but I think we could have enjoyed it better if it was served with ice cream on top of it, just like the authentic one. DH didn't like it, I guess we should have ordered my first choice which is the cheesecake topped with strawberry. So, it was his fault (hihihi!) ^_^

On my mind is another restaurant that we must visit very soon. It's My Thai...so 'til my next food adventure. ^_^

I was an hour late when husband and I arrived at the Clinique party in Rustan's Makati (Aug.20, 2011). It was supposed to be my 'ME' time turned me plus dear husband. He wouldn't allow me to commute all by myself as he worries about my safety. I do appreciate his effort and concern (palagi kasi ako naliligaw pag mag-isa kung saan-saan ako nakakarating hahaha!). He asked me if I wanted to use Porshia (our car) 3x before we head out the house but I choose to ride the FX, LRT and MRT going to the venue ^_^. He patiently waited for about 3 1/2 hours until the party was over, so I decided to treat him to a sumptuous dinner at Gumbo.

We both had a great time together. A non-stop sharing of stories and laughters during our travel. We didn't even noticed the time. To this point I can say that our relationship keeps getting stronger and better than the years that had gone by. Sometimes people would tease us and ask why we still spend a whole day together when we're already married. I think that's the part that we really enjoy the most and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't. Being married doesn't mean we can't go back to BF-GF kind of relationship. Time for each other matters, it is an essential part in every relationship. Anyway, let's get into the party details.

The Clinique Party hosted by Ms. Shen of Shen's Addiction was a blast. I really had fun despite the fact that I was an hour late because husband and I were so kulit going here and there. You know little things on the way would caught our attention. Still, I got the chance to have a skin consultation & makeover from the beauty & skin experts, I get to mingle with the other bloggers. I totally, had a fun-filled day. I was glad that I get to meet Ms. Shen for the second time around, she's really a pro when it comes to makeup. She taught me how to contour my face and how to use bronzer.
Also, I appreciate Ms. Jheng of I Am Brigitte for answering all my questions, she's such a nice person.Thanks Ms. Jheng for the makeup and beauty tips. I also got the chance to meet Ms. Phoebe another beauty blogger who has the nicest skin. I love her smooth, morena complexion. I couldn't believe that she has suffered badly from acne during the past years as there are no traces whatsover of acne scars on her face. She definitely has a great-looking skin now. She told me that she'll be having a big giveaway in celebration of her birthday, so watch out for it ladies I'm sure it's gonna be fab!

Last but not the least thanks to my newly found friends, I had so much fun! fun! fun! April, Mary Jane, Kei and Alice. It was nice meeting all of you and I hope to see you again soon.

What I have learned? It's okay to be just plain simple but it's definitely much better if you'll enhance the beauty that was given to you. With our without makeup I shall never forget to take care of my skin first and invest on skincare products that suits me best. So, my goal now is to have that blemish-free skin. My skin suffered from pimples years ago. There were days when my face was free from pimples and days when its in full blast of breakouts here and there. Now, it's more of acne dark marks. So this time I promise myself that I'll only use the products that my skin really needs.

I Love Makeup

When I was a child I've always wanted to become a flight attendant or a bank teller. The reason behind that is so simple I want to wear makeup and travel with my high heels every day.(hihi that's the kikay inside me ^_^). During my childhood years, I fell in love with my mom's make-up palette, pink lipstick and her red pair of pumps. As the years gone by my love for makeup slowly drifted away, though I learned about the basic techniques on how to use makeup I choose to be simple as natural - pressed powder, brow liner and lip gloss that's me.

But then, it all changed after I attended the Clinique Party. My interest has risen again, up to its tiny detail. I'll have a separate post about it soon.

In my son's school each kid is encourage to read books. All students were given a story book log from the beginning of school year. Each day, students will jot down the date and time they read a book. There's also a specific portion from the story book log where parent's will put their name and signature to make sure that they check it every day.

It's a good thing that my son really appreciate books. We enjoy reading together and sharing stories. In his stroller bag, you'll see his current favorite AVATAR The Legend of Aang book 1.

Last night my seven-year-old son asked me if I'm not getting tired of doing the things I do. Keeping up my personal business, household chores and at the same time taking care of him and his daddy.

Yes, there were times when I'm completely drained of energy, to a point where rest and sleep are demanded.

I think he was curious because he never heard me complain. And why should I, when I enjoy what I'm doing. And then he asked me another question...why am I keeping pictures and always jotting down the list of things that I want to have in my planner. I told him, that it would serve as a reminder, for me to work harder. And then he said, mommy when I grow up I want to be a doctor so I could take care of you & daddy and the poor people, I'll treat them for free. He also said that he will give us a lot of money so we could travel to different places. ^_^ What a good son! *laughs* After surprising me with those words, he asked me if I wanted to go shopping, and of course I said yes ^_^. I asked him why? And he said I'll give you my savings of Php 44.00 inside my wallet so you and daddy could relax.

I didn't know if I would laugh or cry at that moment, I could not explain how I felt, but my heart was so happy to hear those words straight from my son.

Friday is our grocery shopping day. Husband and I do this together every week. It is also our 'just the two of us' day. He works from Monday to Thursday only and off during Fridays and weekends. So, while our son's at school the whole day, we go grocery shopping first and then the rest whatever comes to mind.

Since we're always at the mall every week it's either watching a movie, dining out, stroll and then drive around the city. We both enjoy going to places we've never been to.

You can start with a theme based on the things that he likes the most. For example his favorite cartoon character and so on. From there you can come up with every possible ideas. Also don't forget to choose the age appropriate activities and games.

Most of all, you must not forget the list of attendees and the food that you're going to serve your guests.

For a unique birthday celebration, why not try going to a place you've never been to. It's always great to explore and travel with family. It will be an unforgettable experience for all of you.

Lastly, you must never forget that it's your child's birthday and the most important people that he wants to be with on his day are his parents. Give him most of your time and attention instead of attending much to your guests that's why for me it's better to travel.

Little Mozarts Club

Today, my son is joining the Little Mozarts Club. It's an Orff-Schulwerk-inspired music club for Years 1 and 2. Students are to play in an ensemble of soprano recorders and simple percussion instruments such as hand bells and drums.

According to wikipedia, the Orff Schulwerk, or simply the Orff Approach, is one of several developmental approaches including the Kodaly Method, Simply Music and Suzuki Method used to teach music education to students. It combines music, movement, drama, and speech into lessons that are similar to child's world of play. It was developed by the German composer Carl Orff (1895–1982) and colleague Gunild Keetman during the 1920s. The Orff Approach is now used throughout the world to teach students in a natural and comfortable environment. The term "schulwerk" is German for (literally) "school work" or "schooling", in this regard in the area of music.

The Orff Approach is a "child-centered way of learning" music education that treats music as a basic system like language and believes that just as every child can learn language without formal instruction so can every child learn music in a gentle and friendly approach. It is often called “Elemental Music making” because the materials needed to teach students are “simple, basic, natural, and close to a child’s world of thought and fantasy”.

My son loves music. At the age of four , he already knew how to play some instruments. His grandfather (my dad) patiently taught him how to play drums & sing in front of people, while his dad taught him how to play the piano. I think he got the passion for music from my dad. He was his first music teacher.

I can't LIVE if living is without you (I'm talking about the FOOD!*laughs*) I'm a certified carnivorous. (haha!)

Here I am with my all time favorite dish Bibimbap. I got to know Maangchi, a Korean chef all because of my addiction to this dish. I can say that I am now an expert when it comes to making bibimbap and bulgogi, and also an expert in eating. ^_^ (hahaha!). Seriously, I cook because I love to eat.

My love for food doesn't end with just a simple dish. Whenever my family would go out, my husband would always asks "Saan mo gustong kumain?" and my quick reply would always be " sa hindi ko pa nakakainan". You see, I have a big appetite. I'll be the happiest if you'll bring me to 'eat-all-you-can or buffet style' (hihihi) that's me.

Every Banchetto day, my husband never fails to bring home pasalubong as our midnight snack. Like these below...

And during weekends it's all about pizza...

or a simple date in our favorite restaurant/ food center.

I made this cellphone charm weeks ago. I used a spare silver bracelet extender and then put all the different charms and beads together using head pins and jump rings. As you can see it's colorful. There's fish, flower, a pink heart and crystal beads. These beads and charms were leftovers of my previous accessory projects.

I was cleaning my son's closet (removing all the clothes that he outgrew so quickly) the other day when I saw this tuxedo.

My son wore this during his christening (seven years ago). It was a gift given by his godmother (sister-in-law). I heart this tuxedo, it's so cute right! It brought me back to the time when he was a little baby.

Oh! how fast he has grown. It felt like only yesterday when I was carrying him in my arms. Now, I can barely move his arms and legs wrapped around me. *laughs*

This is my first project from Artscow. A digital camera leather case that looks like a coin purse *laughs*.

Seriously, it doesn't look like a camera case so I use it as a coin purse too. I was a little disappointed with the printing though, but what am I suppose to expect it's only $5.00. Actually, the original price of this is $9.99. I just took advantage of the promo and used the discount coupon, plus free shipping offer.

The low quality of photos is really the down side. I expect that it would be as nice as the samples on their website. The first picture from the left was good but the second and third were both blurry, same thing goes on the back cover. So, I think it's best to choose the close up shots if ever I'll make a new project again.

But what I like is the foam padding for extra protection of the camera, separate compartments for memory card and extra battery. And of course the genuine leather material & zipper closure.

Diaper Cake

My sister will be having a baby shower and birthday celebration for two (mama's birthday too) on the last week of August. I was thinking of making a diaper cake for her baby. Because I had no idea how to make one, I searched online and watched a video on how to make with step-by-step instructions.

I also checked some design ideas from Diaper Cakewalk. Although, I still don't know if it's a baby boy or a girl, because my sister wanted it to be a surprise! So, I think I'll go for apple green and orange colors for the ribbons. As for the theme I already have something on my mind. We'll see, I'll make an update and I will make a post of my creation with photo very soon. Hopefully, it will turn out exactly the way I want it to be. So good luck to me (laughs!).

My Ideal Home Sweet Home

If I would be given the chance to design my dream home without thinking about the "budget"

my living room would look like this

or this - both colorful and vibrant. These color combinations represent my personality very well.

Of course my kitchen would be nicer. There should be enough space for me to move and breathe. I'll probably stay longer here than any other place in my house if my kitchen looks as beautiful as this. Also, there should be a walk-in pantry where I can just pick and choose whatever I need for cooking. *laughs*

My favorite part, the bedroom. Nothing would make me happier than having this so much space.

I like its cozy look and feel. The design is very simple, which is a plus factor because I hate having so much things around that I don't need like big vases, extravagant wall decors and other accessories that will only accumulate dust.

Last but not the least the kid's bedroom. I like its color, this room could have been perfect if only there's a study corner and bigger space, but anyway I still like it for my son.

Whenever I have extra time, I watch asian dramas online. It all started with this historical drama Jumong and of course the ever famous Boys Over Flowers and then the list go on and on, I got hooked! I mean we (husband and I) got hooked. *laughs*
