Young and Loving It

Being young makes me discover my passions. As I go through life, I can be many things. I can enjoy and try almost everything as I celebrate who I am and being my own person. I do good things and sometimes commit mistakes but then again I learned from those experiences and that's what I like about being young, it leads me to knowing my truth. I can do what I want yet I still listen to where I'm being led.

On a rainy Friday like today there's nothing more I can think about but food. (haha!) I'm sharing with you my no-bake blueberry cheesecake. I used a round pyrex glass baking dish for this dessert because I don't have a springform pan and that's also the reason why I chose not to bake it.

I baked Peach-Mango pie because this is my son's favorite. He wanted me to order the Jollibee version at first but then I decided to bake my own and I think it's not so bad, it's my first time to bake a pie and it's good to know that my son and husband liked it so I feel proud. (ehem!)

I am a certified foodie!

All About LOVE

This is my official entry to Levy's contest.

TIME, how I wish you would give me enough for every little thing. Every day I feel like it's my duty to compete with you. I haven't had a straight eight-hour of sleep for a very long time. I felt so stressed to the point of breaking down but then again I always find my balance.

LUCKY, lucky are those people who get out of bed and do nothing, lucky are those people who get what they want without exerting any effort. There were times when I would question myself WHY? why do I need to work hard in order to get what I want while others don't? and how was I able to survive those ups and downs? I am no Super Woman, I just have the determination to go for what I want and I PRAY.

What keeps me going? What keeps me loving life? I have learned to embrace the good and the bad. I know that I have emerged a well-rounded individual, a more compassionate person because of all that I have had to endure. I started to count my blessings and accepted everything in JOY. I know it's tough especially when life gets difficult but I realize that it's not about what's happening to me but my attitude about the events in my life.

My family is my source of happiness, pride and joy. I look at them and realize how blessed I truly am. It's all about LOVE!  My love for God, my love for my family, my love for myself and my love for others. I have been blessed with so much LOVE and I can only look forward with so much positive emotions to the next years ahead.

This is me being faithful to who I am, loving & knowing the truth, living life with a smile and a positive outlook because HAPPINESS exists in everyday events.

Happy Birthday My Dear Brother

Today is my dear brother's birthday. Happy Birthday Jaypee "Bunso" !!! You know that we're so proud of you. No matter what happens your two Ate's (M&M- Michelle & Maricar) will always be there for you, whether you like it or not, so better like it because you don't have a choice hahaha!

Seriously, I'm really proud of my brother not just for being a full ride scholar and being able to support his studies for the past years on his own. He has matured because of the circumstances, the ups and downs, he became more responsible and overtime he learned to be stronger and wiser.

Despite the hardships we had gone through, he's always there ready to cheer us up, another one of his talents is to make people smile! There's no dull moment whenever me and my siblings are together, even if it's just a simple bonding in our room, chatting, eating our favorite chips and cornik, sharing hilarious moments. I won't trade it for any other, those memories were all special.

Here's to you my dear brother, no matter how old fart you are (hahaha)...I'm glad that God chose you to be my brother because I couldn't ask for any better. We might be miles apart and we may not be together on this very special day but remember dear brother you'll always be in my heart....forever. I pray to God to bless you with all his love and care, and I hope your birthday wishes come true. I love you little-big brother.

Baking and Cooking

When I'm not busy making accessories, most of the time you'll see me in the kitchen wearing an apron. It's either I'm baking (practicing how to make a unique frosting and design for cupcakes) or cooking a dish that I haven't cooked before.  

Vanilla Cupcakes - I ran out of cupcake liners so I used wax paper to make sure my cupcakes won't stick inside the cupcake tray molds.  These cupcakes look more like bibingka right? (hahaha!) Guess, I need some baking lessons. I'm planning to enroll, I just need to fix my schedule. Hopefully, I'll be able to put up my own cupcake business.

I've been Tagged - 10 Truths About Me!

1. I'll admit I'm a cry baby. Whether it's a simple scene from telenovela or somebody just raised  his/her voice at me I'll get teary-eyed easily, in short I'm very sensitive. 
2. I love cooking and baking.
3. When I'm watching tv I'm always tuned in with AFC channel, Star World - because of Master Chef and Lifestyle Network because of DC Cupcakes.
4. I love to eat that's why I cook. When it comes to food I like asian dishes but I'm also on the look out for something new, food that I haven't tasted.
5. I hate clutter, that's why once in awhile you'll see me getting down on my knees scrubbing the floor, I have mastered cleaning the bathroom and I make sure all other areas of the house is clean before I finally sit down doing whatever it is that I want to do.  
6. I'm very talkative when I'm in the best mood but when I'm mad with somebody or making tampo I won't even bother talking to you.
7. I love traveling with my family whether it's here in the Philippines or outside the country as long as we're together I'm happy.
8. Arts and crafts is my thing aside from cooking. When I get old I'll be happy doing crochet, scrapbooks, cross stitching or even sewing dresses.
9. I make my own accessories - earrings, bracelet, necklace. My love for handmade things got me into jewelry business.
10. Lastly, my day would not be complete without having coffee or tea.
