Laura Mercier Flawless Face Workshop

Not all women are the same, not all have flawless faces. I am one of those who have had pimples in my late 20's up to early 30's, acne blemishes and uneven skintone, name it I've had it. Yes, I am not perfect, I have flaws, but I love this face not only because I was born with this face. Everyday, this face receives lots of kisses from her boys. This face never complains, never fails and never gets tired to give her owner a big smile 24/7! ^_^ This face has been through a lot, that it has gotten a little thick-faced! hahaha :p

Anyway, thanks to Dove facial wash and Clinique cleansing oil my combi-oily and pimple-prone skin  has finally broke free from pimples, yes, I rarely get pimples now (during PMS only), maybe its not just because of the facial cleanser I'm using it could also be that I'm already ageing! (gracefully ageing) ^_^

Of course, my pimples didn't disappear in an instant and pimple marks are still obviously noticeable ( no need to use your hand lens) ^_^. So, when I heard about the Laura Mercier Flawless Face workshop I decided to join.

According to Laura, flawless face has many faces and our individuality is her inspiration. Laura Mercier believes there are four steps to create a flawless face, and that look begins with a fresh canvas.

"Making your skin look perfect is the first and most important thing you can do to achieve a truly great look. The key is to enhance your natural beauty - whether you use all products together one day, or just a little Secret Camouflage and Setting Powder when you are on the go." - Laura Mercier

Jeffrey Tasker (Laura Mercier Artist/ Global Trainer) shared to us the simple techniques to flawless results with Laura's flawless philosophy - 4 steps to the flawless face.

Step 1: prime the skin - Foundation primer is a colorless gel that provides a barrier between the skin and foundation to ensure freshness and long-lasting color.

After the workshop, I finally realized the importance of makeup primer and why I should use one before applying foundation.  ^_^

Step 2: apply foundation - Laura feels women should look as natural as possible so she created her foundations to be used only where needed or in layers to provide buildable coverage.

Jeffrey taught us a little trick how to choose and blend the right color of foundation. Instead of using the compact mirror as plain old mirror, he said use it to blend the colors and then after blending or picking the color you think is the right one for you look in the mirror and check out if the color matches your skintone, no need to apply it directly on your skin, great!

Step 3:  conceal - An exclusive to Laura Mercier, Secret Camouflage is formulated with a high level of pigment so your skin will achieve complete coverage with little product use. It is to be used under the eyes only.

Step 4: set with powder - Laura recommends that everyone set their makeup with translucent loose setting powder because it has no color pigment and will not distort the color of your makeup.

with the beautiful model...love her morena skin :)
where's Jeffrey? I need a makeover hahaha!..
