When my Husband Volunteer to Cook

Chicken Adobo was the first and last dish that he cooked for me, and that was 6 years ago. I was not able to eat  it because it was too salty, but I appreciate his effort. Yesterday, for the second time and I hope it won't be the last, he volunteered to cook  our favorite dish and that is the "Sweet and Sour Pork". The verdict from me and his son was two thumbs up! Surprisingly he did very well and I was quite amazed especially when I tasted the sauce. He said he's got a good teacher, ehem! that would be me. Unfortunately, the kitchen was a big mess! so I did help him with the cleaning part, and I was like pointing....here clean this and this.

What a BLUFF from Giordano and Plains and Prints!

I got a little frustrated with this Anniversary Sale promo of Giordano Philippines. I drop by at their store about an hour ago. When I got there I immediately asked the saleslady for the Lion Polo that I wanted to buy. My mind is made up that I would buy three Lion Polo because I was expecting that the three items would only cost Php 999.00. I told the staff that Giordano Philippines announced the anniversary sale on facebook they even included this photo below. In here you'll see that the price of the Lion Polo is 3 for 999 as well as the Stripes Polo. But their staff told me that the classic shirt was the only item that they were selling for the said amount, what a bluff!!! I ended up buying the 3 classic shirts.

Yet another frustrating store announcing that they'll have a SALE today is Plains and Prints.

I drop by at Robinsons Metro East as I was excited to buy something from Plains and Prints store but the saleslady told me that the SALE might be tomorrow and then changing her statement as she was not even sure if it will be tomorrow. Gosh! why would they announce on facebook that the start of the sale is today when its not?

I decided to buy from the other stores that are really on SALE like Nike, Reebok,and Adidas. I bought christmas gifts for my dad, brother and husband. I also bought a little something for myself. My day at the mall started with frustration but ended up with much fun because of the stuffs that I bought for my family and myself.

When the Going gets Tough

Believing in yourself requires knowing that your life has value and that there is hope for your life and while its tempting to do so, avoid focusing on the difficulties of your situation instead, resolve to replace worry with work, avoid the idle mind, when you are vulnerable. Fretting should be banned as a waste of natural resources. Focus on solutions, not problems and the way will be come clear.

Oh! well, the past lessons I had learned over the past few years were lessons I wouldn't have learned if I took the easy path. I had gone through effort, pain and heartbreak but going through situation and breaking it down to manageable little pieces brought me much closer to the life I love, a life where I really get it all together. I enter the flow of life and take it on as it comes to me. I do understand that there will be hard times, good times and times that will really try my soul...

An Early Christmas Gift

Last night I received my early christmas gift from my husband. I wasn't expecting it at all. He told me to accompany him at the mall to pay his credit card bill. I asked him what did he charge from his credit card. It was kind of odd because I didn't know anything about it, normally he would ask for my permission first, unless there was an emergency. As we stroll inside the mall I told him to go straight at the billing section and pay his bill but he said no we're not going there. I need to check on something...blah!blah!blah! and I said okay let's go there. I was surprised when he brought me to a Nokia store and so I asked Are you going to buy a new phone and he said yes, but not for me for you and I said what? I still have my free phone from my Globe Post paid plan that he got for me 4 months ago. I told him my phone just needs a little repair and its still on a one year warranty but he insist on buying a new one for me. I got excited! I don't want to buy an expensive cellphone because months after it will be phased out and replaced with new ones. I choose Nokia C3 in color pink, pink simply because its the symbol and color of a breast cancer foundation that I want to help.

Now, I have to think of something to give him this christmas, maybe a new video game for his Playstation 3.

Shopping Time!

There are lots of items worth splurging and some that you just need to wait to get on sale and I decided to spend my hard-earned money on sale items. Robinsons Malls had a One Big Sale! last friday.I bought three jeans for myself and some clothes for my son. I also bought a new stroller bag worth 2k for my son that is not on sale. The design that I picked was his favorite character Lightning McQueen. I always enjoy shopping I guess every girl does. There will be another sale event this week, my husband and I were planning on going there.

I accompanied my sister last week and drop by at a character shop. She decided to buy a hello kitty sandals for her inaanak. While we were looking on some cute items, the sales lady approached and gave her assistance. Ms. Saleslady asked me and my sister ate are you sisters? and my sister said yes, the saleslady asked her again who's older from the two of you? and I replied hulaan mo (make a guess), she said I look younger so she guessed that my younger sister was my ate, my sister pretended she was pissed and said hindi ko na bibilhin ito nawalan na ko ng gana, the saleslady said wag naman ate kase naman mas mukang bata sya sa iyo naka make -up ka pa nyan sya hinde. I can't believe how taklesa she was hahaha! I said to my sister that I like the saleslady already, my sister replied I won't go back to this store ever! (kidding Ms. Saleslady)  As for the sandals she was planning to buy, she still bought it!

Busy as a Bee

I had been everywhere for the past week. My sister said I was like Dora the Explorer hahaha! I was busy with everything that I need to do, with my little business and all. Good thing I was still able to relax with my family. These photos were taken at Gerry's Grill in Marikina, we had our lunch there last weekend. I enjoyed a great meal with my family, I also appreciate that my siblings and I had a great bonding moments together for almost a week. There are lots of things and photos I want to share but for the meantime I'll share this one with you.

I helped my son bake cookies last night. He was so excited to mix and use the whisk. Here are some photos of his baked cookies formed and molded according to his preference.

After seeing the result of his freshly baked cookies he immediately have us tasted it. Yummy! and our verdict: two thumbs up! His dad even brought some to work.

Losing someone I love and cherished the most is the hardest...

The past weeks had been so hard for me and the rest of my family. I am emotionally and physically not in a very good condition. I miss my mother so much. Accepting the fact the she's gone is not that easy. Losing her was the saddest moment in my life. I appreciate the family, friends and other relatives who supported and give comfort to us most especially the pastors. As they said " Si mama nyo ay nasa magandang lugar na kasama si God walang pain walang paghihirap". Those words somehow stopped the burning fire in my heart.

Mama, I never imagined that the end would be like this, me comforting you. Holding your hand, telling you not to worry about us. Mama you are a pillar of strength until the end, even at the weakest hour you tried to comfort us. Thank you so much for taking care of me for the whole 30 years of my existence.

The death of a mother is the hardest to bear for she is the one who is there for us the most. But as you promised you are still with us watching over us your children.

I love you Mama...I miss you.
